Among those suspended was Richard Spencer, who runs an alt-right think tank and had a verified account on Twitter."
Clearly the media complex doesn't understand what is going on in the world. They believe that if you control the flow of information you control the public's perception of reality. This actually worked for some time in this country however, the old saying, "you can fool some of the people most of the time, but you cannot fool all of the people all of the time", applies here. Karl Rove is surely struggling with this right now.
When you start to silence people and clearly embrace pushing propaganda, or at least "filtering" your flavor of ideas, you create an echo chamber. When the free flow of ideas stop, those ideas just go somewhere else.
Twitter will now fade away into obsolescence because who will be talking to who? If you are using Twitter you are basically accepting and approving of an organization that threw free speech on the ground, pissed on it, and waived it's privates in your face.
